The images are grouped according to the Horticultural Classification of Lilies, a widely used system to categorize lilies, first proposed by the Royal Horticultural in 1963. For more information about this classification scheme, please visit the Lily Culture section. Orienpets (crosses between trumpets and orientals) are included under the "Orienpets" tab, LAs (crosses between longiflorum and asiatics) are included under the "Asiatic" tab, and all other interdivisional hybrids are included under the "Inter-divisional" tab.

Many of the martagon images were contributed by Frans Officer and the Martagons! Photo CD-rom project. The very worthwhile goal of this project is to document as many martagon lilies as possible, including photos and growing information.
